Experience Charles Dickens’ holiday classic in the Stadium’s beautiful Grand Hall! Join the ghosts of Christmas Past, Present and Future as they lead the miserly Ebenezer Scrooge on a journey of transformation and redemption.
Characters soar with the aid of Flying by Foy, the theatrical flying service, and the Stadium’s 1926 Wurlitzer Organ is used during all performances! Run time is approximately 2 hours. Where: The Stadium Theatre 28 Monument Square, Woonsocket, RI 02895There is lots of free parking around the theater and in the municipal lots too. Edesia Factory Tour
550 Romano Vineyard Way North Kingstown, RI
Edesia is a unique non-profit organization that manufactures ready-to-use foods. It is credited with saving millions of lives with their high-nutrition, easy-to-transport products. The company is best known for its Plumpy'Nut peanut-based high-energy food. One packet is enough to fully treat one child suffering from severe acute malnutrition. . Each year millions of "miracle packets" leave Edesia’s Rhode Island factory and are delivered into the hands of malnourished children all over the world by humanitarian aid workers working in the hardest-to-reach and most inhospitable places on the planet. Edesia currently employs 70 people hailing from over 23 countries. To learn more about Edesia's story and the people it helps, click here.
Tour notes: This factory processes peanuts. All guests must wear closed-toed shoes. All ages are welcome. Cost: $10 per person. This will be used to further their mission to treat and prevent malnutrition in the world's most vulnerable populations. Register by November 24. |
