Makeup Seminar with a Professional Artist When: Thursday, August 25, 2016 10:00 - 12:00 Where: ENRICHri Community Center, 1395 Nooseneck Hill Road Coventry, RI Who: aimed at ages 10+ (adults very welcome!) What: Makeup Seminar with a Professional Artist! Are you interested in makeup tips to enhance your appearance? Perhaps you're interested in an actual career in makeup art, a relatively complex and diverse field. This two-hour course is a great start to demystifying makeup and to help you feel more comfortable applying your own makeup. Expect to learn techniques as well as which products to use. Alexandra Ostrovsky Hazel is a MAC-Certified artist. She has been in the makeup industry for more than 10 years. Her work appeared in Elle Magazine for New York Fashion Week, and she has represented various makeup lines at some of New York City's finest stores including Bergdorf Goodman, Saks, and Henri Bendel. Alexandra was on the Seattle Opera's freelance and backup makeup artist team; and has done makeup for "lots" of weddings, photo shoots, print, media, film/videos and so on. http://www.makeup-by-alexandra.com/ While this two hour seminar can't of course cover "everything," expect to learn hands-on and basic techniques. So please bring your own products; as this beginner's seminar is both participatory and informational. Alexandra will also demonstrate how to use an airbrush foundation machine. And most of all, she will provide answers to your questions about makeup in general including which makeup brands are best and which ones have the best products, skincare, color theory, facial shapes, eye shapes, blending, ad infinitum. If you have questions about makeup as a career, Alexandra will provide answers. Besides doing a few demonstrations herself, Alexandra will also have students apply make up to each other and she will offer suggestions and/or assistance! This course is about having fun and learning all at once! Cost: $23 per person |
