Prudence Island Ferry

Spend the day at Prudence Island with a Narragansett Bay National Estuairne Research Reserve Program naturalists!!
The naturalists will meet us at the ferry, take us to their nature center, then take us to different spots on the island like trails, the shoreline, Chaseway Beach and Nag Salt Marsh.

Expect to do activities and games, beach comb, collect speciments and learn about the Bay.

Bring food , a change of clothes, sunscreen and anything else you will need for the day.


The Prudence Island Ferry leaves Bristol at 9:45 a.m., and leaves Prudence Island to return turn Bristol at 4:15. The ride is about 30 minutes. Online reservations are available or you can buy tickets at arrival. If you are bringing your own car, get tickets in advance, ferry spots for cars sell out.


This program is free, BUT you are responsible for your own transportation!! Anticipated ferry fees:
$12.20 round trip per adult
$5.20 round trip per child
Infant through age 4 is free.
Some of seats are available on the NBNERR passanger van.
Otherwise, you will need to bring your own car. Passanger vehicle is $63.40 round trip. That inculdes the driver, but not any passangers.
We encourage families to carpool and split cost.
