Prudence Island Ferry

Spend the afternoon at Prudence Island with a Narragansett Bay National Estuairne Research Reserve Program naturalists!! The naturalists will meet us at the ferry, take us to their nature center, then take us to different spots on the island like trails, the shoreline, Chaseway Beach and Nag Salt Marsh.

Expect to do activities and games, beach comb, collect speciments and learn about the Bay.

Bring food , a change of clothes, sunscreen and anything else you will need for the day.

The Prudence Island Ferry leaves Bristol at 1:30, and leaves Prudence Island to return turn Bristol at 6:00. The ride is about 30 minutes. Online reservations are available. You can buy tickets at arrival. Advance tickets are very highly recommended if you plan bring your own car since the ferry does sell out.
This program is free, BUT you are responsible for your own transportation!! Anticipated ferry fees:

$12 round trip for age 12-adult
$5 round trip per child age 4-11
Infant through age 4 is free.\
Some are available on the NBNERR passenger van. Otherwise, you will need to bring your own car. Passenger vehicle is $63 round trip. That includes the driver, but not any passengers. We encourage families to carpool and split cost.
