Oh Give Me a Biome: Students will use NASA data maps to identify biomes around the world and will look at how animals are adapted to live in each. Please refrain from eating and/or drinking during your program. Programs will be approximately 45 minutes- 1 hour in length. MUST MEET AT THE ENTRANCE TO THE ZOO AT 10:15 AND ENTER AS A GROUP. ONCE INSIDE YOU CAN WANDER A BIT ON YOUR OWN BEFORE PROCEEDING TO the Education Center for the class. Class begins at 11am. This is a drop off program (students must be dropped off at the classroom in the Education Center.) Education Center: located at the opposite end of the zoo from the main gate; it is at least a 15 minute walk from the main gate (if you walk straight there without stopping to see animals). Parents and non-participating siblings MUST register to enter the zoo unless they are a Zoo Member and can show either membership card at the gate. AFTER THE CLASS YOU MAY ENJOY THE ZOO ON YOUR OWN.

Wild Adaptations: From the freezing tundra to arid deserts, animals have managed to make their homes everywhere. Students will explore the structural and behavioral adaptations that help animals survive. The program will include meet and greets with 3 live animals .
