Support Programs
Online via Zoom
Presented by the U.S. Congress, The Congressional Award challenges Americans ages 13½ - 24 to set and achieve goals that promote citizenship and build character.
Join Melissa Robb to learn how to earn bronze, silver, and gold certificates and medals in the Congressional Award program while working at your own pace. Melissa's son, Ian, has been awarded the Gold Medal. Melissa leads an online support group that assists parents and students with answers and encouragement as they work their way through the levels. The 4 required areas that each involves setting goals: Voluntary Public Service, Personal Development, Physical Fitness, and Expedition/Exploration. Everyone can earn this prestigious award at whichever level you aim for! Approximately 400 of America's Youth were awarded the Gold Medal Award in 2018. The goal of this class is to give you an overview of the program, review specific examples of what others have done to achieve their awards, and provide information for getting on-going support. This will be held online via ZOOM with ample time built-in for questions as we go along. You will be sent the link for ZOOM the day of the event.
