This is a workshop for kids aged 3-6 years old who struggle with explosive, angry, freaking-out, over the top emotional out bursts and behavior (you know, normal little kid emotional stuff) and their exhausted and exasperated parents who feel at a loss about what to do and how to help their little one with their BIG feelings. We will start with an anger management story time, followed by play based exploration of many different tools, sensory options and ideas to help guide your little volcano from explosion to a place of calm.

Parents will leave with a picture book list, a bunch of ideas for activities to work into your everyday play and lots of options for how to work and play with your child to build both a personal home and travel big feelings tool kit.

Bonus - Every kid will go home with a couple of tools to start building their personal big feelings or calm down kits.

*Note this workshop is NOT about behavior management. It is about learning creative and play-based ways to support and guide emotional and mental health and growth in preschool-first graders.

Join us during this season of gratitude and giving to learn about the needs of local families. Then we will collaborate to make an impact locally. We will gather to learn about the many ways we can help local families during the holiday season. We will discuss where to find families in need while respecting privacy and a family's dignity. We will learn about many of the local organizations that serve these families. Finally we will work together to make a plan of action about how we can help make an impact locally. We will make a plan of how to work together within ENRICHri to collect donations of both holiday meal needs and gifts that meet both the needs and wants of a family in need.

$5 per family- will be donated as part of this program.
