Prudence Island Day Trip

**** The ferry leaves Bristol at 1:30, please arrive in advance, the ferry will not wait for late passengers!! ****

Spend the day at Prudence Island with a Narragansett Bay National Estuairne Research Reserve Program naturalist!!

This program is free, BUT you are responsible for your own transportation!!
Anticipated ferry fees:
$12 round trip per adult
$6 round trip per child
Infant through age 4 is free
Passanger vehicle (including driver) is $62 round trip!!
We encourage families to carpool and split cost.

We will spend a day exploring Prudence Island with NBNERR naturalists. We will visit trails, the shoreline, Chaseway Beach and Nag Salt Marsh. Expect to do activities and games, beach comb, collect speciments and learn about the Bay.
Bring food , a change of clothes, sunscreen and anythign else you will need for the day.

The Prudence Island Ferry leaves Bristol at 1:30 and returns to Bristol at 6:30. Online reservations will be available in advance.

URI Kingston Botanical Garden
6 Greenhouse Road

This two-hour environmental education program engages children in several hands-on learning stations to explore biomes and plants and wildlife that inhabit southern New England. Learning Landscape also introduces topics such as water pollution and environmental stewardship, all in a fun and age-appropriate format. Students bring their experiences back home with seeds planted in a recycled pot and their own nature journals. Facilitated by specially-trained URI Master Gardeners and URI students, this program is held at the URI Kingston Botanical Garden.

Audience: Aimed at ages K-6th grade

Cost: $10 per child

Register by April 20.
