ENRICHri International Fair 2025
Location: West Warwick Elks Lodge (60 Clyde St, West Warwick, RI 02893) Join us for a celebration of global cultures! Participants will choose a country to research and present their findings on a tri-fold board. Bring a dish from your chosen country to share, as well as a flag sticker, stamp, or something that represents your country to stamp passports. Important Event Details 12:00 PM: Set up presentations 12:15 PM: Parade of Nations 2:00 PM: Clean up All ages are welcome to participate! This is an annual tradition for ENRICHri. How to Participate: Choose a Country: After registering, visit the ENRICHri Member Facebook group and search #internationalfair2025 to see available countries. Comment with your child’s first name and their chosen country (no duplicates allowed). If you’re not on Facebook, email Tricia at tricia.harris@enrichri.org to claim a country. Cost: Free Family Participation: Siblings can register separately or work together to represent one country (register one child). Non-participants: All are welcome to come see the presentations! Participation Expectations: Tri-fold board with research about your country. Flag of the country to display and carry in the Parade of Nations (can be homemade or printed). Nut-free cultural dish to share, with serving utensils and an ingredient list on an index card. Sticker or stamp with the country's flag, symbol, or name for the passport stamp station. Water bottle/drinks for personal hydration. What’s Provided: A portion of a table for your display. Power outlets (limited; please request if needed). A blank passport for each participant. Paper products and utensils for the shared food. Presentation Ideas: Locate your country on a map and highlight its capital city. Provide a brief history of your country and its flag (including colors and symbols). Share the recipe for your dish and provide copies for others. Explain the cultural traditions, holidays, and celebrations in your country. Show pictures or bring currency from your country. Highlight top tourist destinations, famous landmarks, and travel tips. Include common phrases in the local language(s). Discuss popular sports and leisure activities. Feature famous people from the country and their contributions. Explore the economy, key industries, and sources of income. Discuss the climate and seasonal weather patterns. Bring props such as musical instruments, artwork, or crafts. Play cultural music for visitors to enjoy. Hand out fun takeaways like quizzes, recipes, or small souvenirs. These are only suggestions—feel free to get creative and make your presentation unique!
