Discover how Native Americans started maple sugaring, how Colonial settlers continued the tradition, and how the practices have been modernized in today's industry. Program also includes tree ID and a discussion of the ecology of Maple trees in our New England forests. This field exploration with a Rhode Island Audubon naturalist is designed for students in grades 3-8. All welcome to attend. Cost: $10/child, $2/adult Children 3 and under are free Sign up by March 9.
