07/21/2016 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM ET	Foam Weapon Smithing	Community Classes $20.00 ENRICHri Community Center 1395 Nooseneck Hill Road Coventry, RI Deadline to register is Friday, July 8th Foam Weapon Smithing When: Thursday, July 21st 10-12 Where: ENRICHri Community Center, 1395 Nooseneck Hill Road, Coventry Who: aimed at ages 9 and up but ages 7 and 8 are welcome as long as their adult is going to do the exacto knife work / contact cement (or take responsibility for their kid doing it). What: Foam Weapon Smithing Learn the basics of foam weapon smithing in this 2 hour workshop hosted by the Lawton family. The focus will be on the process of sword construction, using the duct tape (boffer) method. Templates will be provided. Students or their parent should be competent using an exacto knife or similar sharp, cutting instrument. Contact cement, or other adhesive, will also be used. The image is of some of the items the Lawton boys have constructed. Not all are the duct tape method. ALL SUPPLIES ARE PROVIDED.
