Casey Farm
2325 Boston Neck Rd Saunderstown, RI
Participants use all their senses while exploring the eighteenth-century barn; discovering the principles of weights and measures; and experimenting with simple machines, such as pulleys, screws, and levers. Experience simple machines as they have been used by New England families over the last 350 years.
This program will be run by Historic New England educators, the same group that did our Civil War and At the Farm / At the Bay workshops last year. Feel free to bring a picnic lunch to enjoy at the farm's orchard after this 2-hour workshop. Casey Farm is a 300-acre working farm in operation since 1725. It is a rare example of one of the original plantation farms of the Colonial era. Intended Audience: Grade 1-8 Cost: $10 per child (not charge for adults or tagalong siblings who will not participate) |

ALL ART SHOULD BE MARKED on back or bottom with artist's full name and age. You will put uniform tags with first name and age only when you bring your items to the library.
