This is an Earth Month Service Learning Opportunity.
ENRICHri has formed a team for the Students reBuild 2019 Oceans Challenge. Partnered with the Nature Conservancy and Ocean Collective, the Bezos Family Foundation is funding youth conservation education in coastal communities around the world. Our goal for this day is to raise awareness of the importance of ocean conservation and to create as many sea creatures as we can from recyclable materials. For each sea creature that we create, the Bezos Foundation will make a donation of $2 to programs training coastal youth in ocean conservation and coral restoration. This session will start with a short discussion of the importance of our ocean and conservation efforts and then we’ll jump right into creating! When the sea creatures are finished we’ll be photographing them for submission to the Ocean Challenge. Families do not need to stay for the whole event |
