Write Where You are is a flash nonfiction program by School One that invites writers in grades 7-12 in the state of Rhode Island to document what they see, think, and experience in their hometowns. The result will be a nonfiction reflection (1000 words or less), both written and recorded.   These personal reflections from all over the state will be published online as part of a sound map of Rhode Island.    In addition, a reading panel will review every submission, and select stories will be published in a print anthology.

In this 3 part workshop, facilitated by a professional writer, students can develop and craft their stories.

This program is for Rhode Island residents  ages 12 and up.  Free.
