What:
HELMET DESIGN CHALLENGE
In this engineering design challenge, students will work in teams to explore, select and arrange materials they feel will provide the necessary structure or cushioning
to a model helmet. Students will be provided with a limited choice of materials and time to respond to the specific challenge. They will test their
solutions and report on their results using the engineering design process. Students learn about force and the importance of the distribution of the impact in protecting a player’s head.

The class is from 11:00 - 12:00 and then they will go to The Hall museum (about 45 minutes).  There isn't any supervision in The Hall, so if your child is staying for the museum, then you should sign up also and plan to be there for, at least, that part of the class.

At past classes, we have had some opportunities to walk through the "tunnel" and on the field, but those are not guaranteed occurances.

Cost:
$4 per student, $8 per adult
