For ages 5-8

This is a true cooperative, where all parents participate.  **All parents/adults on property will need to have a BCI on file with ENRICHri.**

If you are not a teacher, you will be choosing a time slot to be a helper (link will be emailed after registration). However, all parents will need to help out as needed!

**We have one class timeframe with 2 options - both teachers and helpers will need to choose a class for your child.

 

IMPORTANT NOTES:

  • Parents will be present and responsible for their own children at lunch time.
  • This is a peanut/tree nut free co-op.
  • All Parents/Adults on property will need a BCI on file with ENRICHri.
  • You will be choosing a time slot to be a helper.
  • Full day participation is expected.
  • The following classes will be taught by parent volunteers and there is no class choice provided (except for the one time frame).  

 

Schedule:

  • 2 classes in the morning
  • Lunch with the Preschool Program (includes free play)
  • 2 classes in the afternoon

 

Classes:

1. Gym/Cooperative Games

  • Gym and cooperative games and activities working on communication, team work, problem solving, gross motor skills and planning. Hula hoops, obstacle course, blob tag, duck duck goose and much more.

2. Terrific Trees - OR - Nature Art

  • Terrific Trees : In this class we will learn to identify a few common trees, learn why leaves turn color, learn about the parts of a tree, learn about photosynthesis, and more! We'll also do some fun nature crafts and listen to books about trees.

  • Nature Art : We will be doing a variety of nature inspired handcrafts from painted kindness rocks to exploring natural inks, making our own paper beads, print making, weaving, and more!

3. Engineering

  • Come have a blast in Mr. Dan's Engineering Class. Each week students will utilize different materials to build and design prototypes. They will learn engineering topics such as cause and effect, structural capacity, pitch, center of gravity, and stability. Different activities for building each week include: Bridges, Paper Airplanes, Engineering an instrument, Jellybean structures, Balance and Weight Distribution, Cup Tower, Balloon movers, and a Catapult. Games and some friendly competition may be included as well.
