This is for returning KNIGHTS only. This is a NEW ADVENTURE that has not been offered before. DRUIDAWN KNIGHTS who have taken the beginners class at any time in the past years are welcomed. Legends of Druidawn uses fantasy role playing to stimulate the imaginations of the students and becomes an excellent source of ideas . It is based entirely in Druidawn, a fantasy world where adventures take place. Legends of Druidawn motivates children to write creatively. Players participate in a verbally interactive story-adventure that requires creative problem solving in order to overcome obstacles. The teacher will guide the players through various adventures with the help of maps, dice, and character sheets. Old Master Oil Painting Part 1 (6th-12th) $45 ($15 supply fee) Teachers: Rachel Laprise & Mikayla Gilpin-Ouellette
Step back in time and imagine yourself as an apprentice to a master painter! This session we will be creating an oil painting in the luminous classical realistic style of the Old Masters, think Rembrandt or Da Vinci. Oil painting is a slow process and we will be working on the same painting for the entire 6 weeks. (Da Vinci spent years creating the Mona Lisa!). We will begin with techniques for painting preparation, toning and preparing our canvas as well as drawing with graphite or charcoal. We will then transfer our work onto the canvas board and begin underpainting techniques. This process will continue as students build layers of opaque paint and thin glazes in oil on canvas to result in a monochromatic underpainting which will be ready to start color during the next session in Part 2. In addition to the supply fee listed above, students will be required to purchase many of their own supplies before class starts (including sketching pencils, paintbrushes, oil paints, palette with knife set, and an easel - which could be an additional cost of $150). You may have some of these products already and a specific detailed list will be emailed to each parent prior to the first class.

Players participate in a verbally interactive story-adventure that requires creative problem solving in order to overcome obstacles. The teacher will guide the players through various adventures with the help of maps, dice, and character sheets.
