Art Lab: Snoopy in Space - Thursday March 5 1:00-2:30pm
Get ready for an exciting adventure through space. Learn how to create your own astronaut in the iconic Peanuts style using the Procreate app on iPad Pro with Apple Pencil. Draw facial expressions to show emotion and mood, customize a colorful spacesuit, and make your astronaut come alive in a share-worthy GIF.
Art Skill: Getting Started with Procreate - Thursday March 12 1:00-2:30pm
Explore how to start a sketch by tracing with the Procreate app on iPad Pro. Beginning with a photograph, we’ll show you how to follow contours of a portrait with Apple Pencil. You’ll practice adding shadows and curves to create depth, adjust opacity and layers, and select a color palette for a portrait sketch to take home.
Art Walk: Discovering Color - Thursday March 19 1:00-2:30pm
Collect the colors you observe on your walk to capture your own color palette. Using the Procreate app on iPad Pro with Apple Pencil, you’ll combine them to create an abstract painting to take home. Devices will be provided.
Art Walk: Drawing from Observation - Thursday March 26 1:00-2:30pm
Transform the way you observe and sketch the world around you. We’ll show you how being mindful of people, objects, or places in your surroundings will help you add interesting details to your drawings.
