We will be using habitats as a foundation theme within the classroom’s daily rhythm to meet the following learning goals: sharing, taking turns, respecting others, listening, following directions, asking, fine motor skills, body control, maintaining a daily rhythm, and cleaning up. During each 6 week session we will cover 2 habitats, spending 3 weeks on each one. At this age learning happens with repetitive play. This will allow the children to go deeper with their play, learning and processing. Our daily rhythm will include circle time, activity/craft time, snack time, movement and a quieting of body and mind, play and sensory stations, clean up and a closing circle. Preschoolers should bring a no-spill water bottle (water only) and a small non-messy snack.
