Worcester Polytechnic Institute
Middle School STEM Experience offer students in grades 5-8 the opportunity to explore a college campus in a setting designed for them. The visit includes a brief tour of campus, a presentation on early college readiness, and a presentation on a topic in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math) fields, followed by a hands-on-activity to reinforce the concepts of the STEM presentation. All of our presentations are given by current WPI students, including our Engineering Ambassadors.
9:15-9:30 a.m. Arrival and Escort to Presentation Space
9:30-10:30 a.m. Engineering Presentation and Hands on Activity
10:30-11:00 a.m. Middle School College Presentation
11:00-11:30 a.m. Campus Tour
Some activities may include latex or food. Please email programs@enrichri.org to alert us about any allergies.
Free.
Parents may stay but most must wait in the campus center. We will need 1-2 to enter the presentation space as chaperones.
Please sign up by November 26.
GPS Directions: The entrence to WPI Campus (via West Street) is directly across from the corner of West Street and 63 Institute Road.
