All About the Nutcracker with Festival Ballet

Beloved Annual Tradition!  This demonstration, held in the Festival Ballet studio space, is a great introduction to the story of the Nutcracker.

First, a Festival Ballet educator will talk about the history and mechanics of ballet, and will share the story of the Nutcracker - a great preview of the show to come (the ballet itself is wordless).

Real Festival Ballet performers will demonstrate some positions and dancing from the show.

Then, kids will have a chance to dance with the ballet dancers!

The program takes about 45 minutes and is appropriate for all ages.

Parking note: The studio is on Hope Street near North Main Street, across from Seven Stars Bakery. There are typically very few parking spaces in the tiny parking lot but there is convenient street parking on 4th, 5th, and Lorimer St.
