Description
Gameschooling in Portsmouth Info Session
Wednesday, August 7, 10 a.m.
Common Point Fence Playground, Portsmouth
Where would the coop take place?
The Common Fence Point Community Center, which is under construction and will be ready in September. It will have a large multipurpose room, a small stage, a "baking kitchen" (sink, small oven, no stove- good for lab, art, baking, crock pot, coffee, etc), a playground, a field, plus a short walk to a beach where we can explore and swim.
When will it be?
Plans are TBD but we’re aiming for Wednesdays 9:00-1:00, plus playtime outside after lunch. Once a month we'll leave early so people can attend the Audobon Society Homeschool program in Bristol.
What will it be like?
This Co-op will have a special focus on learning through gaming, with an hour of boardgame/rpg play built in, a Minecraft STEM lab class offered, recess games, and so on. However, classes of any kind are welcome. With the kitchen and stage we're hoping some talented parents will get these kids making muffins and put on a show! Ruth also plans to offer a beginner Japanese class.
Volunteers and teachers are needed to make this happen.
No signup needed, please just show up.
Let us know if you are coming!
