Shark Tagging

This workshop by the Atlantic Great White Conservancy  has a technology and engineering focus. Students will learn about the shark tagging that is being done on Cape Cod. They will learn about a “shark work up” and what research practices are used. The students will be able to use model tags and apply them to inflatable sharks to do a full work up themselves. We will also discuss how the tags are a part of a communication system and how the data is transferred to the researchers.
