Wee Faierie Village and Tour of the Florence Griswold Museum

This field trip has three parts

• Guided tour of the Florence Griswold Museum, a 1817 historic house that was part of the Old Lyme Artist Colony.  Its gallery has a notable collection of American Impressionist paintings.

• A visit to the Wee Fairie Village. Visitors of all ages will marvel at the detail and craftsmanship as they explore over thirty hand-crafted, faerie-sized homes nestled throughout the Museum’s 13-acre historic site.

• An opportunity for each student to paint outdoors (en plein air).

Visitors may stay afterwards a picnic lunch, either outdoors or in the climate controlled education center. There is also an the on-site cafe.

Targent audience: ages 5 and up

Cost: $8 per person (children and adults).  No charge for children younger than age 2.
