Unschooling High School with Karen Valcourt

Karen has unschooled both of the children, the oldest who is now in college.
How I unschooled? I just took the kids' leads and helped them to explore their passions.
When my oldest wanted to go to college we made sure he had everything he needed for the schools he was applying to (SATs and such), and made a transcript for him.
My younger child decided to go to high school, but when she chose to return to homeschool we did that, too. Even though she's been in & out (& in) school, we still consider ourselves unschoolers because we're following the kids' needs at each step. She is now looking at colleges and starting the prep work for that path, too.
*Venue note: be aware that this is after library hours, so don't be alarmed when you arrive and it looks closed! We still have access to the program room.
