Religions of the World: Judaism – Temple Emanu-El, Providence
Monday, April 30, 10 a.m.
99 Taft Avenue, Providence RI

Summary Interested in learning more about Judaism? Rabbi Rachel Zerin from Temple Emanu-El, a conservative synagogue in the heart of historic Providence, will lead the ENRICHRI community thru a visit of the Synagogue.  The group will have the opportunity to tour the building, visit the sanctuary and take a look at a Torah scroll.  Rabbi Zerin will help us better understand the tenants of Judaism (Judaism 101), learn about important holidays and discuss the role of the synagogue in the Jewish community as well as its work alongside other religious institutions.  We will end the visit in the synagogue’s library where we will be free to browse adult and children books.

This visit should take about 1 hour.  Side note: Rabbi Rachel Zerin was homeschooled in nearby Massachusets.

Parking is available on the street (plenty available) or in the Synagogue’s parking lot located on Taft Street next to the adjacent apartment building.  The main entrance ( a glass double door) is located at 99 Taft Street.

Signup by Thursday, April 27.  Please register both kids and adults, and list the age of children who will be attending.  Space is limited.
