Description
Religions of the World: Buddhism (Providence Zen Center)
Monday, April 23, 10 a.m. - 11 a.m.
Providence Zen Center, 90 Pound Road, Cumberland RI
Interested in learning more about Buddhism? The Zen Center is offering the ENRICHRI community an opportunity to learn more about the Center and Buddhism and partake in a meditation session. Guiding Teacher, Nancy Hedgpeth JDPSN, will host our group and is looking forward to answering questions and helping us increase our understanding of a religion practiced by over 7% of the world’s population.
NOTE: All will need to remove shoes upon entering the building. Bring socks or slippers. There is no required clothing length, but since we will be sitting on mats, wearing comfortable clothes is recommended. The Center can accommodate large groups, but it was recommended that we plan to have plenty of time if we need to use the bathroom before the tour starts.
All are welcome. Free.
To thank the center for their hospitality, consider bringing a small cash donation if possible - perhaps $5 or $10. Or send a donation via paypal to treasurer@enrichri.org with the subject "Zen Center", which we will pass along to them.
