ENRICHri Science Night at Bridgewater State University

An evening of science learning with future elementary teachers! 
Recommended for ages   6-11

Bridgewater State University has put together science lessons that will help children understand more about how scientists create explanations about science in the world around us.
Session options include:
 
  • exploring how plants and insects defend themselves
  • learning how force makes things go
  • testing objects for properties of solids
  • investigating the connection between magnets and materials

Plus, an optional session for parents to learn about the “science and engineering practices,” which are the ways in which scientists and engineers enact inquiry and the design process to investigate the natural and designed world.

Schedule:
5:00pm            Check In
5:10-6:00pm    Session 1 for children + Parent Session
6:00-6:20pm    Pizza, Salad, and Dessert
6:25-7:15pm    Session 2 for children

This event is free and includes dinner for the students as  well as their parents / chaperones.
