Description

RIDEM Wildlife Outreach: Black Farm Management Area
Friday, November 10, 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.  /  Rain date November 27
Location: Richmond, RI

Take an easy woods walk with RIDEM naturalist Mary Grande.  Mary says: "It is a beautiful area, and easy to find, directly off 95. There is a pond, a historic cemetery, forest, and fields. It is also a great place to see the difference between a field managed for invasive plants, and what happens when you leave a field to its own devices. There is definitely the potential to find some wildlife clues! The last time I was there, I found some coyote scat. There is also a cool overlook onto the Wood River, where we could spy ducks and herons, if we are lucky. Fingers crossed!"

All ages welcome to join.

Cost: free

Anticipate walking through trails - bring sturdy shoes.  Bring a snack or picnic lunch.
