Wilderness Skills

Caratunk Wildlife Sanctuary, 301 Brown Avenue, Seekonk MA

This 3 hour program, presented by Rhode Island Audubon, discusses survival skills, critical thinking, problem solving, map & compass work and plant and animal ID.  It was designed for students in grades 4-8.  Ages 7+ can attend at parents' discretion, and older kids are welcome to sign up.

This will bring to life books such as My Side of the Mountain by Jean Craighead George, Hatchet by Gary Paulsen, Island of the Blue Dolphin by Scott O'Dell.

Cost: $12/student
