Project Wild DEM Teacher Training

Who? ENRICHri Parents

What? Growing Up WILD (pre-k to 2), Project WILD (K-12), and WILD Aquatic (K-12). These are internationally acclaimed, multidisciplinary curricula which uses environmental education to teach educational standards. The following website can delve further into Project WILD and their mission:

The Project WILD and WILD Aquatic curricula are not for sale and can only be obtained through training attendance. The reason? Research has shown that educators are more likely to use the curricula if they are familiar with the activities. The good news is that RIDEM Division of Fish and Wildlife’s Aquatic Resource Education program provides these workshops AND the curricula FREE OF CHARGE! Once participants finish the 8 hour training, they will receive 3 curricula which include the most recent update of Aquatic WILD.

LUNCH & SNACKS PROVIDED!

Please dress in comfortable, casual clothing. We will be doing some activities outside, weather permitting.

Cost: $6 per person. A donation will be made to the ARE program in ENRICHri's name.

Directions:  Take Exit 5A (rte 102 towards Exeter/North Kingstown) off of 95. Follow 102 until merge right onto Rte 3 (Carolina Nooseneck Road). Follow Rte 3 to Rte 165 intersection (yellow blinking light with Little Country Pizza on the right). Take Right onto route 165 and follow about 2.9miles to Frosty Hollow Road on right (dirt road with white church on the corner. Take right onto Frosty Hollow Road and follow for 1.9 miles until a T-intersection. Take left at the intersection (Austin Farm Road) and entrance gate will be on the right 0.1 miles. Take right and follow 0.25miles until you reach the main office/classroom building. Signs will be up to follow.
