Art of Zentangle With Charlann Walker, CZT, Certified Zentangle Teacher
Zentangle is an art form that uses repetitive designs. It is fun, relaxing, easy and a joy to work with.
This workshop teaches all the basic steps along with the fundamental skills, techniques, philosophy that forms the foundation of the Zentangle method. This is a perfect place to start if you are brand new to Zentangle, or if you are self-taught with books and online resources. It is also a wonderful experience for returning students to get reconnected with the core principles and values of Zentangle, and explore and develop variations of simple beginner tangles.
We will be making laminated bookmarks with the small paper tiles and supplies will be provided. The bookmarks will involve tangling 2 or 3 Bizou tiles each with their own design and mounted on stiff black or white paper. The back can be another design or they can be designed with collage. Each one will be laminated. The teacher will have all supplies you need, you don't have to bring anything Zentangle is a miniature abstract work of art. It is fun. It is creative. It is timeless. It is unexpected. It is meditative. It is ceremonial. Repetitive simple steps support relaxation, focus and inspiration. Be surprised.
Ages 8 to adult. Adults may take the class or just hang out in the community room while their child is taking the class. Adults must pay for their own spots in order to be in the classroom.
