Learning the Blues (Ages 8+)

What:   If your child plays piano, keyboard, or guitar, even at a beginning level, help him or her to discover the source of jazz and rock music. Blues is one of the easiest musical structures and can be grasped by even young beginners. The class will cover the instantly recognizable (by all!) 12-Bar Blues form with which students can play thousands of different tunes, but also which teaches the art of improvisation ("jamming"). By class' end, each student will have a firm grasp of the origin and structure of rock and roll as well as musical understanding that will last a lifetime.

Stan is offering his class for this low, low cost one time only in order to introduce himself to our community.  Take advantage of this amazing deal! 

**Instrument (keyboard, guitar, harmonica, etc.) strongly advised for class.

This class will run immediately before coop begins at 10:15.  We ask that membes without a BCI respect our coop policy and exit the building prior to the being of our regular coop session.
