RISD Museum: Exploring America

Guided tour of RISD Museum with a focus on American history through art. Consider American identity and experiences from the colonial period to the present, and make critical connections between significant events in U.S. history, American literature, and works of art and design. Consider experiences of, and encounters between, Native Americans and colonists, and investigate the impact of local and international trade, industry, and immigration. Recommended for classes studying Rhode Island and U.S. history, American literature, and the role of art in American society.

Who? Aimed at K-5 but all ages welcome.
Cost? $3 per child, $12 per adult. Ages 5 and under free.
 

Please arrive at the Chace Center entrance of the museum at 20 North Main Street, Providence, RI. The Museum does not have a designated parking lot; however, parking is available nearby in the MetroPark lot. Please bring your parking stub to the Museum’s admissions desk for validation and a discounted rate. Strollers are permitted.

Registration deadline is Friday, December 7.
