Description
Friday, November 4, 10am-12pm
Age 13 and up
Park Rangers lead an archaeological survey with an environmental motive: cleaning up the park. Participants will survey different areas in Roger Williams National Memorial Park, pick up trash 'artifacts', nd record/describe their findings on a gridded map worksheet. As a group, we will analyze the trash 'assemblage' and where it was found, making inferences about what activities might have happened at Roger Wiliams National Memorial Park in the recent past. Gloves and grabbers will be used, kids won't actually touch the findings.
Roger Williams National Memorial is located at 282 North Main Street in Providence's College Hill Historic District You may drop off your child for this program or attend along with him/her. Please also register for yourself if you will be attending. MEET AT THE RANGER BUILDING.
