What:
The Mona Lisa has a mustache!

Students will look closely at Leonardo Da Vinci’s Mona Lisa, and then create their own sketch of her with their own alterations.  We will change her appearance, character and attitude with mixed media and create a wearable masterpiece.  Students will play theater games to introduce themselves in their characters.

Teacher Bio: Kathy Good completed her M.F.A. through Johnson State College and Vermont Studio Center, and graduated magna cum laude from Catholic University in Washington D.C. She received a scholarship to study painting and drawing at Studio Art Centers International in Florence for a year after college.  Additional training and professional development includes Project Zero conferences through Harvard, and Master Teaching training through the CT Commission on the Arts.  She has taught art for children since 1996, in diverse settings including museums and CT and RI public schools..  Her paintings have been exhibited professionally in New England and Bowery Gallery in New York City.
