| Description | Ever wonder what happens to your recycling when it leaves the curb? On this tour, you'll get an inside look at Rhode Island's state-of-the-art Materials Recycling Facility. The tour begins at 12:30. Please arrive by 12:15. Parking lot connected to the Material Recycling Facility. Easily located off of Rte 295, Exit 7. Once you exit, go about 1 mile down Shun Pike, on the right. There is a guard station at the entrance. Once you enter, take a right, following the bright yellow sign that says ALL TOURS. Your tour guide will greet you at the Materials Recycling Facility. Please be aware that the Education Center is located inside of the Materials Recycling Facility (MRF) which is an active operation. During the tour, please listen to your tour guide for instructions on what stations visitors should move to next. No running is allowed in the Education Center. Parking is limited. Please carpool if possible. Adult ticket is needed. This is NOT a drop off event. Adults must be present. |
