You’ve Got Mail . . .Postcards from Your National Parks! is a 60-minute, ranger-led, in-class program that introduces students to the National Park Service. Through the use of exploration packets containing national park brochures, new and antique postcards, observation cards, and gloves, students will take an imaginary vacation exploring America, locating national parks and learning about what makes each unit of the National Park Service special and unique. This program will take place outside on the lawn of the park. You can either sit right with your child for the program or stay close by. It is a busy street in Providence. Plan accordingly. You are welcome to arrive early to explore the small museum or stay after the program. The visitor center offers exhibits, ranger programs, a short video, restrooms, and water fountains. The Parking Lot is free, however, it is only for visitors actively on the grounds and has a 2 hour limit. **Aimed at ages 8-11 but all are welcome** |
